Easy, yummy and delicious, this gluten free apple crisp recipe is a wonderful dessert to serve for family and friends. The sweetness from the apples and the crunchy oat topping, will make this treat disappear quickly!
- 3-4 organic apples
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup brown rice flour
- 3/4 cup certified gluten free oats
- 11/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup (1 tbsp inside the topping and the 1/2 tbsp gets sprinkled on top)
- 1/3 cup organic butter
Preheat 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, toss together the apples and lemon juice. Pour into an 8″ greased pan.
In a medium bowl, combine the ingredients for the topping (except for 1/2 tbsp of maple syrup) until well combined and course.
Sprinkle the topping over the apples, drizzle the remaining 1/2 TBSP of maple syrup on top.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, until golden on top and bubbling.
