Life is fast, and sometimes it’s just easier to buy something in a jar than it is to make it yourself. However once you do make it yourself, you realize how simple it can be, and how much healthier it is homemade.
Soy sauce is full of gluten, so it’s an ingredient that we have to avoid, which is difficult at times because it is in many marinades and sauces. So here is an incredibly easy and delicious homemade gluten free teriyaki sauce that will replace any jar sauces you were once buying.
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp cold water
- 1/2 cup Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Sugar
- 1/2 cup Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
- 1/4 cup Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 clove organic garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 boneless, skinless, organic chicken breasts
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, liquid amines, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper. Let simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Brush chicken with the sauce. Turn pieces over, and brush again.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, turning over, and brushing with sauce every 10 minutes until chicken is done.
