With summer in full swing in Colorado, cooking outdoors has become a necessity. Anything that I can bbq outdoors, and not heat the house up cooking inside, I do. So with guests in town from Canada I thought it appropriate to bbq some westcoast wild salmon in my mom’s marinade recipe. The results are delicious (even both girls devoured their dinners) and the recipe is easy. Unfortunately the pictures are not my best, but trust me when I tell you the taste is divine!
- 1/3 cup rye whiskey
- 1/4 cup Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
Mix above ingredients together and pour over wild salmon. Let sit for 20 minutes up to a couple of hours. Place salmon on grill, skin side down and bbq for approximately 5 minutes on each side depending upon thickness.
It’s that easy…enjoy!
